The Story...
In 1925 successful New York financier, Delos Cooke, announced his retirement in order to devote himself to the care and welfare of his beloved wife Florence. "She has first claim on me," he said lovingly. And so began their dream, the winter retreat they called El Vernadero and today is called Royal Palms. Much of the romantic aura found today at Royal Palms comes from the original detail work the Cookes incorporated into their home and, of course, their love for each other.
Florence and Delos had only two years to enjoy their romantic estate until Delos passed away in 1931. Heartbroken, Florence continued living at El Vernadero for six more years before selling. Although the ending to this love story is bittersweet, Royal Palms today continues to honor their legacy by creating treasured memories for the many couples who seek romantic retreats wedding here.

Bridal Session at Royal Palms
Weddings, weddings and more weddings! Sarah's bridal session at Royal Palms Resort was a beautiful event. Sarah's portraits took place just a few days before the wedding - a great way to break in those shoes, as well as get time to really take some gorgeous portraits in a picturesque environment without the stress or time constraints of doing them on the actual wedding day. We had a ton of fun, and couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue!

Italian Garden Wedding at Royal Palms
Isn't it the best when you're being entertained in someone's beautiful garden, enjoying great food and wine, surrounded by the lush greenery of trees and vines and the sounds of fountains in reflecting pools? That's what Patty and Dallas created for their guests when they recently married at the fabulous Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix. The Mediterranean architecture of this historic resort lent itself perfectly to creating a wedding that felt like an intimate Italian family dinner in the garden. Patty is an Irish Italian firecracker, and her fantastic personality showed through in all of her wedding attire... starting with these most fabulous shoes. Anyone who can rock wearing 4-inch Jimmy Choo black patent leather peep toe stilettos on their wedding day is bound to throw a great party, and indeed it was. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding at The Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix! Thanks again to the amazing team, family and friends who made it all possible!
