Nominate T. Cook’s Executive Chef for a James Beard Foundation Award!
Learn about the national James Beard Foundation 2011 Award and nominate the well-deserving T. Cook’s Executive Chef Lee Hillson for the Best Chef of the Southwest!
The James Beard Foundation began in the mid-1950’s when food revolutionist James Beard opened his own cooking school in New York City. A tireless traveler, he continuously toured the country to bring his message of good food prepared with fresh and wholesome ingredients to chefs around the United States. The James Beard Foundation now continues its generosity and education by giving scholarships, hosting fundraisers, releasing cook books, and holding numerous events throughout the country.
T. Cook’s Executive Chef Lee Hillson has cooked on many occasions at the James Beard House in New York and has hosted a “Friends of James Beard” dinner at the resort. Among his other notable experiences are his appearance on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America, his stints as Celebrity Chef on multiple luxury cruises, and his creations for luminaries such as President George W. Bush, Barbara Streisand, and Princess Diana, among others. Chef Lee is known for his dedication to earth-friendly ingredients and his creation of back-to-basics dishes with tantalizing twists.
The 2011 James Beard Foundation Chef Award for culinary excellence in 2010 is now accepting submissions. By voting online, you can nominate Chef Lee as the Best Chef of the Southwest!
